So recently my girlfriend got a PSP Vita. I must admit it looks amazing, the graphics on the thing are amazing. I haven’t had much of a play with it yet but from what I can tell it ticks all the boxes a Portable Gaming Device should.
But here is my issue. Portable Gaming Devices are becoming redundant, with the rise of the smartphone age. My Galaxy Nexus has amazing graphics, brilliant build quality and is also generally a great phone. It can even play games! :P
Why would you carry around a PSP, phone and wallet when you can just carry your phone and have everything in one. The PSP is only useful for those really high quality games. Then again, look at the Sony Xperia Play, That phone IS a gaming device too.
With the speed at which nanotechnology is happening, a phone will become the only thing you need to carry around, Even more then today.
And that is my opinion of Hand Held Gaming Devices
P.S Yes, I am considering getting a PSP Vita, but can’t see the point

I admit I haven’t posted in a bit so I’m going to stop with the counting of days
OK, no humour today.
I just had a 12 hour day of hard labour on 6 hours sleep! NO GOOD! Although I didn’t break my NO ENERGY DRINKS rule, that made me happy
Now excuse me, I have to find the nearest flat surface to die on.

I have a blank wall. For reminders, ideas, whatever. But I always leave a spot, it doesn’t matter how big, for goals.
These goals can be as simple as; get fit, eat well. It doesn’t matter. Now I could simply put these goals in my phone, but it’s not the same.
Every morning I wake up and there on my wall are my goals. I ask myself, ‘what can I do today to come closer to that goal?’. At the end of the day I look at that same wall and ask myself ‘did I get closer to that goal today?’. If I haven’t, I try to make sure I do something about it the next day.
This may seam stupid, but having a goal to wake up to, to be the last thing before you go to sleep. It makes you strive to become something. Forces you to push yourself everyday do become what’s on your wall.
I challenge you, my very few followers, put that ONE goal you have always wanted to achieve on your wall and everyday take that tiny little step towards it.

When I was younger, I hated sites that asked for your age. So like most kids, I would put some stupid age in. Like 80.
THIS CANNOT GO ON!
Kids on the Internet piss me off!
Example:
I was playing on my favorite Minecraft server, pcsmc.net you must be 16 to join.
When a kid, that has been popping on randomly for about 3 days, came on. Straight away the questions came flooding about jack all, then he started complaining. It got so annoying I left.
This happens to people everyday! Mainly in COD with mic spam, that’s why I hate the game.
Please children, get off the internet. It’s a horrible place
Unless to you live under a rock, but somehow have a tumblr.
Ok that sound better in my head.
If you have tumblr but your blind..nope not right.
Ok what I’m trying to get at is every single post on tumblr isnt original, well all my stuff is. If you trace most of the post, you’ll find them on B. Even then they came from somewhere else!
This annoys me.
So yesterday I had a Maths exam and work.
Somewhere during that time I must have taken something, unknowingly, because I had all sorts of crazy thoughts. All of which I forgot.
So let’s just forget I missed day 3 and move on!
I have never really understood the idea of a secret diary.
Writing all you hopes and dreams in a book for someone to steal. Or for them to read and then crush all you hopes and dreams. Either way, it can only end in tears.
This is why blogs were created. To show your thoughts to the world, then let the Internet crush them instead. You might be lucky enough to troll someone while your at it.
This why I believe if anything has no place on the Internet, it has no place in excistance.
Yes, I did go to Minecon!
The simple answer is:
It was an amazing experience to fly 18 hours around the world to see LA and Vegas. Minecon was crazy fun. Meeting Deadmau5, Jeb and Hat_Films was great.
The long answer
Going to America for a game conference is EXTREMELY nerdy. I was hoping to get a lot out of it; inspiration, advice or ideas. I got nothing, in the respect. It was great fun! I enjoyed myself a lot!
Minecon was horribly organized. The hotel made the event very business like, they had never dealt with 4500 nerds before. The line to get items signed was a good 3 hours long, I didn’t even bother! Merchandise lines were at least 4 hours long ALL DAY, I luckily found a quiet point and spent $104 on merc.
I choose sessions that I thought would be informative and help me develop my skills. This was not the case. The ‘redstone’ session was an HOUR of Q&A, not a single demo, this was very disappointing. The other sessions I choice I missed out on as the timing of flights stopped me from going to them.
There are more indie games then main stream games. However most indie games never see the general public eye. MineCraft is one of the very few indie games that have made it big. Many people now are talking about making ‘the next MineCraft’ or the other indie game that will make it, this is just statistically nearly impossible. Don’t get me wrong, there will be another BIG INDIE GAME. But just because 1 indie game made it big, doesn’t mean they all will. People are now looking at indie games all wrong, because of MineCraft.
I personally will continue to create bukkit plugins and work towards a degree in ‘virtual worlds’ (BEST DEGREE NAME EVER!) Hopefully getting a job in a large game company or starting my own.
Minecon, was a good experience. I’m glad I went. I’m disappointed that it wasn’t done right.
It is widely known that if any game console company does not produce a ‘Star Wars’ game at least once a year. George Lucas is permitted to burn down the HQ of the company that broke the rule.
